Coaching/Technical Assistance
Coaching, also called Technical Assistance (TA), refers to the many different ways that we can help you with the day-to-day operation of your child care program. Your coach can come to your location for direct observation, consultation, and discussion.
Your coach can provide feedback on program operation including room arrangement, playground management, learning materials, and your daily schedule among other things. Sometimes making a few small environmental changes can improve the classroom dynamic and children’s behavior dramatically. Coaches can also help with business management, professional development, and staffing questions.
You and your coach will create an action plan, decide on the coaching format, and the frequency of meetings needed for a successful outcome.
To take advantage of this FREE service, call to schedule an appointment time convenient for you. There are many ways that some coaching from a trained professional can help you improve your program.

Clear communication is essential for effective coaching. If there is an obstacle to communication, the ESCCRC has a safe space for coaching meetings. If a private space for a unique situation is necessary, contact the ESCCRC to arrange coaching sessions off site. We can arrange for an interpreter, plan a convenient time, and remove other barriers such as noise and activity.
