Training
Training at the ESCCRC is all about learning how to create engaging learning environments for the young children you work with every day. The more you know, the better you can prepare for each day. There are five Core of Knowledge (COK) areas in which the ESCCRC offers classes: Professionalism, Curriculum, Special Needs, Child Development, and Health, Safety, and Nutrition. Each of these areas are addressed in trainings designed for teachers of Infants and Toddlers, and teachers of preschool children.
As you are choosing the right training, consider the ages of the children you teach and the topic most appropriate to your current needs. If you need help identifying the right class, call your Coach or the ESCCRC office. We are glad to help. Training hours are also required to meet licensing requirements.
Registering for class:
For your security and convenience, we offer online registration and payment. Click the “Register and Pay online” button below. If you are familiar with the process, continue by pressing this button. If not, read instructions below.
When you click the registration button, the landing page shows a list of available classes arranged by date. You need to create an account if you have never registered online before. Click on “NEW? Sign Up Here." Use your preferred email address, create a password, fill in your contact information, log in and you're ready to go. Remember this sign in information so you can use it next time!
Once you are logged in, choose the classes you want, click “Enroll Now” to add them to your shopping basket and proceed to the secure checkout. You can add/edit your billing address in your account screen (it should match your credit card billing address). You may pay with Visa or Mastercard. You will receive an order confirmation/receipt by email. If you need help, contact esccrc@salisbury.edu.
Center directors who want to enroll and pay for staff should contact the ESCCRC for assistance.
If you have a credit, and would like to use it for a class, call the office to register.
Sometimes you cannot attend a class you’ve registered for. The ESCCRC will issue a credit for a future class if you call within 24 hours of the class. We cannot issue a refund unless we initiate the cancellation.
