Parent Education

The ESCCRC facilitates parenting classes and can also connect parents with other organizations that do.

ESCCRC staff can:

  • Help parents identify appropriate classes and programs based on a family’s needs.
  • Provide referrals to early childhood specialists or community agencies for more individualized support.
  • Offer resource navigation for other family engagement supports available regionally.
Parenting Classes & Workshops

Trainings and workshops scheduled through ESCCRC’s training calendar may include sessions relevant to parents and caregivers on topics such as child development, behavior strategies, early literacy, and supporting social‑emotional growth.

Referrals to Partner Organizations

ESCCRC can help parents connect with organizations that specialize in parenting education, such as:

  • Maryland Family Network: A statewide resource network that helps families access parenting supports, family programs, and early learning resources.
  • Patty Center - Family Support Programs: Offers classes on parenting skills, child development and behavior, peer support groups, and facilitated Parent Café discussions.
  • LOCATE: Child Care: A free referral service that helps families find child care and related family support resources across Maryland.
