Other Training & Professional Growth Options

When you need a class and cannot find one that fits into your schedule, there are options available.

  1. There is a Maryland State Training Calendar, hosted by Maryland Family Network (MFN) that lists all the scheduled trainings by Child Care Resource Centers like the ESCCRC across the state. Visit trainingcalendar.marylandfamilynetwork.org/Search for direct access to the statewide training calendar.
  2. You can visit the ProSolutions website prosolutionstraining.com/md/ to find quality trainings that meet your need. The ESCCRC and the Maryland Family Network support this training site.
  3. Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) also offers training that you can access here,
    earlychildhood.marylandpublicschools.org/professional-learning-series
  4. The Child Development Associate (CDA) is a nationally recognized credential that increases your professionalism and marketability as a child care professional. If you’d like to look into this option, go to CDACouncil.org, talk to your coach, and begin your journey to the next level of child care.
  5. Another growth opportunity is to begin or continue working on a higher education degree. There is funding from MSDE through the Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund (CCCPDF), and you can begin your studies locally.
